BAodn is currently seeking a Director of Sponsorship to serve a one or three year term on the BAodn board. This role is the primary liaison between BAodn and external relationships including strategic alliances.  The Director of Sponsorship is responsible for securing financial sponsorship (i.e., corporate or public) for BAodn network events, programs and initiatives.

 Requirements:

• Experience with fund raising or in building corporate and university relationships that resulted in financial sponsorship
• Strong network of current Bay Area OD contacts with access to the right people in potential sponsor organizations
• Experience documenting process and sponsorship operations
  • Ability to fast track learning as it relates to what the sponsorship situation is for BAodn, and
  • Ability to quickly document sponsorship operations and processes for the board and the organization, to ensure that the knowledge is institutionalized

Areas of Responsibility:

• Determine a short list of corporations and universities who will donate venues for events; and secure those donations
• Secure long term sponsorship for BAodn as a whole, and for specific programs and initiatives such as the thought-leader series and BITW
• Drive and revise the corporate membership plan to attract more members
• Share expertise and leadership skills with the board and organization

BAodn is, and always has been about, for, and run by member volunteers. Member volunteers are BAodn. Without strong member volunteers BAodn cannot achieve its goals and objectives.
