Director of Business Infrastructure and Technology
|
In many ways, running BAodn is like running a small company. And as such, there is much business process and technology to coordinate and innovate. There are three main areas of responsibility for this role.
Responsibilities
- “Outward facing” technology for the BAodn community. Driving the "tech" strategy, implementation, and processes for BAodn.org, BAodn’s LinkedIn presence, and BAodn’s Blogger blog.
-
“Inward facing” business process for the running of BAodn itself. Driving the "tech" strategy, implementation, and processes for BAodn’s use of Google docs for internal IT needs.
-
“New technologies” for broad OD community reach. BAodn has many untapped opportunities to parlay our strong "in person" presence through events into a robust online presence. As an example, this could mean BAodn event video being online, real-time audio broadcasts of events, and robust online interaction.
Requirements
- "Fluent in technology" and able to guide critical BAodn infrastructure technology decisions
- Has experience leading teams, and is able to recruit, ramp up and support technology team members
- Has a mind for business process and can bring technology to serve the goals of the org
- Willing to do hands on work as needed to back up the tech team's day to day running of BAodn’s technology
- For new projects, proficient at creating effective strategic implementation plans. Such project plans must be holistic in nature, working the intersections with various players and functional areas. Much is possible here—it needs commitment, intention, and a plan for sustainability.
