Event Description:
Influencing Innovation: Contributing to Value Creation in your Client Organizations
In this lively session, Kim Barnes will introduce some key concepts related to innovation management and focus on the contribution that OD professionals can make to strategic innovation. With a broad understanding of organizational systems, strong relationships with key leaders, and skills in leadership, influence, and facilitation, OD practitioners – internal or external - have an important role to play. Combining their business knowledge with an understanding of the “innovation journey” and the factors that contribute to successful innovation, OD practitioners can become facilitators of innovation. They can help their clients to develop effective innovation leadership, supportive culture, structures and processes, and other research-based predictors of success.
